Latest reply from Paypal for Malaysian Paypal Users

I tak boleh tahan adi, wrote to paypal and got this reply from them a moment ago.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your concerns. We apologize for the delay in responding to your service request. I am happy to assist you further.

The problem of Malaysian users need to add a US bank account when accepting payments is still under fixing at the moment. Because it is a complex technical problem, we are unable to tell you when it can be resolved.

We would suggest you to check the transaction status in the coming few days to see if this issue has been resolved or not.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience has caused and appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this matter, and wish you continued success on PayPal.

So, to all Malaysian Paypal users, just give Paypal the benefit of a doubt and keep on checking the next few days to see if you can accept the payments.

Theres just too many rumours running around that this technical glitch may not be for real since its taking so long to resolve. However, I prefer to be patient for now rather than try out some of the other suggested ways to accept payment especially those that involve keying in some other account numbers in case I fall for some scam.

Afterall, if this is not a real technical glitch why would they even bother to reply in this manner and logically speaking there are many Malaysian Paypal users so they should look after their Malaysian Users too don’t you think?

    I sent them an email yesterday and they sent an almost similar response. Wait and see.

    Maybe they copy and paste their email responses.

    I wrote to them twice, and the latest reply I got was yesterday, with the same reply as there’s a technical hitch due to the system upgrade. Not too sure when it’s going to resolve.

    Many has opt to get a VMI…and I’m not sure if I should wait.

    I’m going to wait and see first.

    They must be busy answering emails, I wrote them and gt a imilar reply too few days ago.:-)

    They should have just rolled out a standard email to all the Malaysian users to inform of the problem.

    I’m playing the waiting game. I don’t know how big a problem it is for Paypal but I would think they’ll want us to be happy so we go on using their services. Nows the time for those VMI ppl to make money tho :)

    I agree with you that they should take care of their users. :(

    The thing is..how long can we all wait?

    They told me it was system maintenance problem. I don’t know what is what already. I think they themselves don’t know what the glitch is…which is quite pathetic, since it’s been this way since March/April.

    Yeah. Its poor service from Paypal. The least they could do is roll out an email to us to inform that they’re looking into it and it would be restored by xxx date.

    Nomadic mom, you are writing for PPP to rite so it’ll affect you too if this is not resolved by the time you get paid because we get paid via Paypal. At the moment we can’t accept our $$$$! And thanks for visiting.

    Until today still havent fix leh… if its so hard, then they should just roll back before the update. This is ridiculous. I think its almost two weeks already. Another two weeks you can bye bye your money and go through the hassle of requesting it back again.

    Yes I agree that its ridiculous to take such a long time to fix this.
