Many house designs have the bedrooms located upstairs while the hall, dining, kitchen and store rooms are downstairs. This makes it hard on the older folks who have difficulty moving around the house. Quite often our old folks are limited to the downstairs part of the house but this need not necessarily be the case.
If you have a family member who face difficulties in moving around, you can install a stairlift. Nowadays you can find stairlifts in many designs or models that will greatly improve mobility.
There are curved stairlifts like the one in the picture, straight stairlifts, standing stairlifts and even outdoor stairlifts. You can find some of these models at Value Stairlifts. They are fully adaptable and can be designed to meet specific needs. These stairlifts come with remote control handsets and safety belts for extra security. They also have lockable on/off switches to prevent kids from trying to take a joyride on them!
With these stairlifts, now your parents need not be confined downstairs in the rooms meant for maids. They can use the bedrooms upstairs with the rest of the family.
