My aunts and cousins oversea read my blog. That's the way they get updated with the on going since we only meet like once or twice a year.

Hubby initially was my No1 "fancee" and I found it a good way to communicate with him and let him know what's happening at home during the day while he's at work. Now he has stop reading all together, because he said I write too much sponsored posts. :D He started to think the blog as my work and no longer a journal.

I'm sure he can sieve through the sponsored posts mah. Haha.

I know my mother reads my blog, which ended up in some very heated discussions about trying to stop me to blog and "air dirty laundry". Of course though, that's not possible since there is no way she can stop me to begin with.

So I still blog the way I do, no holds barred.

Now she's taken to commenting on my blog under an alias. Now that's just freaky.

I agree with you that its freaky. Haha.

MG, like you, when I first started blogging, I wanted my husband and kids to read. Then my colleagues got to know my blog. I then found that I could not blog as freely as I wanted to. Then if my daughter doesn't like something I write she will tell me to take it off.

When I started a new blog having closed my first one, I like it that my husband doesn't read. My daughter only found out about the new blog two days ago. My colleagues don't know about this blog. So, I write freely and express myself freely.......unless someone finds out one day. :)

I agree with you. There's less self cencorship when less people read. Just write freely. I like it that way. No need to worry about what so and so may think or of hurting anyone's feelings unintentionally.

From Day 1, I have not been open about my blog with my family. That's because I wrote about almost every single thing I do while I was staying out (during university). Then one day my sister told me that my Dad discovered my blog. I don't know if he reads me regularly but I'm very sure he knows I keep a blog, even today. That's why my contents are written in such a way that, anybody could drop by read and I won't regret writing it. Everything I write and put up need to be carefully thought and the consequences weighed.

Therefore, today, I don't feel uncomfortable even if my family members read me because I'm prepared for that anyway. But I wouldn't invite them, or officially announce to them my site (especially my relatives, uncles, aunts). It's my personal space and certainly, it's a separate entity from my real-life personality.

So everything you write has to go through censorhip by you in your head. Hehe.

I think my hubby has only read my blog for a total of 3 times :-) He's like yours too initially thinking I'm wasting my time. Later, when he read it, he said that he *very grudgingly* said that my writing is good (LOL, he knows his wife loves to be praised!). Also, he's impressed that I've made a number of friends through blogging but does nag sometimes about revealing too much.

I've also accepted the fact that he isn't a reader (except for the newspaper and sports sites) and don't really mind. He loves the posts on his son though and would come snooping when I play the videos online. Maybe you wanna try using the kids as bait! *Terrible mum*

No, now I prefer it that he doesn't read. Lol!

You probably remember I wrote that mine is my no. 1 reader. I actually prefer he doesn't read but at the same time, I find that it helped in improving our r/s.

The one on parents reading kid's blog is tricky. I know some are sneakily reading as they pretend to give them space, yet they want to know. Could be playing with fire I feel. I mean if the kid is smarter than the parent, can always catch them through the traffic stats or something right?

As for siblings, no no for me...and even friends!

As long as it improves your relationship and not the other way round than its great that your spouse reads.

All my family members and relatives are reading my blog and I certainly don't like the idea.

You should start a new blog for your private thoughts. Haha.
