What men do when they “entertain”

Thursday 13 September 2007 @ 9:01 am

Ladies, does your man travel and “entertain” a lot at work? If they do, you should AVOID reading Mr Adrian’s post about The Horny Client and the China Dolls (Parts I-III). Yes, there are three parts. He has opened a can of big worms with his candid description of what happens behind those closed karaoke room doors.

Its not very surprising really. Everyone knows what happens. Its an age old problem that wives have when their husbands “entertain”. It happened in my mother’s time so its not something new.

So how do YOU feel about this issue? Personally, I think, putting trust and believe aside, it would be very hard not to doubt your husband if he was always “entertaining”. He may be very devoted to you and the family, but put a hot blooded male in that kind of environment (of hot babes and free flowing alcohol and touches) repeatedly and one day he will “fall” into temptation. Its like putting yourself in a roomful of desserts you love when no one is looking. All the desserts are ready and available to you. Won’t you touch it? I don’t believe a man will say “I’m married” then sit quietly in one corner. He’s not supposed to anyway. He’s supposed to look like he’s enjoying himself because he’s “entertaining” and before he knows it, he will be enjoying himself.

For all the talk about equality and women rising in the corporate ranks, I think women still “lag” behind in this area. Now, wouldn’t it be interesting if the men had to deal with their wives “entertaining” with their lady colleagues in a karaoke lounge with young males who are always ready to show off their hot bods while they are all over them? Now, that is what I call equality.

However, I don’t think such a scene will ever arise. I think its because of the way men and women are different from each other. Men are more visual creatures. Thats why I’ve heard of many women getting a plastic surgery done such as the ones being offered at the Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery, just to please their men.

For a woman, it has to be the mood, the right person, the connection etc. Women will never get turned on in that sort of situations. It will only make them feel like having a good laugh. Right or not women? Women do it only for charity. Hahaha. See inset picture which I “curi” from The Star’s article: 14 bachelors offered at auction.

What to do in an auto accident

Thursday 13 September 2007 @ 8:50 am

I have been involved in some auto accidents. Some of them small, some a bit bigger and more scary. Once a motorbike flew into the windscreen of a car I was travelling in. I was in the backseat but still it was scary nevertheless. All I can say is, its best to get the assistance of auto accident lawyers if you are ever involved in a big auto accident.

At the time of the accident, you might be injured. You will be confused. You will be faced with making police reports, making insurance claims, making compensations or claiming compensations etc. You don’t want any problems later on without the help of an expert. In this instance I really think one should not try to do it on their own.

Anyway, if you’re ever have the bad luck to be involved in an auto accident, apart from getting the necessary medical attention, you should remember to take down the other vehicle’s number as well as any contact numbers of all those involved or who witness the accident. If you have your digital camera with you, you should take some pictures too. All these will be useful information and don’t say I didn’t tell you.

Not another new doorknob, my dear

Thursday 13 September 2007 @ 8:35 am

When we first moved into our current house, my husband decided to change some of the old things around the house especially the door knobs. We had bought a 20 year old house you see, so everything in it was old.

Although the owner did some renovations a couple of years back an old house is still and old house. We repainted it, changed most of the lightings, and other small things like the door knobs. By doing that we made it something we could call our “own”.

I wasn’t agreeable to changing some of the door knobs at first because I thought they still looked usable but I’m glad he persuaded me otherwise. At least now the house looks newer than its 20 years. Lol!

Are you searching for Babysitting Jobs Melbourne? You can search for jobs at Find A Babysitter. It is Australia’s No.1 Babysitter and Nanny Directory. All you need to do is key in your postcode “3000″ for example, in the search box provided and select or deselect choices ie whether you are looking for an evening or part-time job etc and you will be led to parents looking for sitters.

Similarly, parents can search for sitters by keying in their postcode and choices. Parents register for a fee to gain access to hundreds of babysitters and nannies. Babysitters register for free to allow parents to contact you for work.

Do you bother to dress up when you go out?

Wednesday 12 September 2007 @ 10:29 am

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t, depending on my mood.

They say working women don’t like to dress up when they go out casually because they dress up all the time to work.

They say stay-at-home women don’t like to dress up when they go out casually because they’re just too lazy or used to not dressing up.

Hmm… so who does dress up? Lol!

Most of the time I don’t. I’m too lazy. It takes too much effort.

However sometimes if I’m in the mood…. I’ll dress up even if its a trip to the grocers. All nicely made up and waddling about in my high heels. Once I even made up to go to the Pasar Malam (Night Market) minus the high heels of course. Hahaha.

What about you. Do you bother to dress up when you go out cassually? Psst… I’ve heard some say that the best form of dress up is to dress up your face like getting a rhinoplasty for example.

Basic Telephone Etiquette

Tuesday 11 September 2007 @ 3:48 pm

Stranger: Hello?

MG: Hello?

Stranger: Hello?

MG: Hello?

Stranger: Hello?

MG: Who do you wish to speak to?

Stranger: Wei? (Chinese for Hello)

MG: May I know who you wish to speak to?

Stranger: Wei?

MG: Who do you wish to speak to?

Stranger: Wei?

MG: Who would you like to speak to?!

Phone: TOot TOot TOot TOot

MG: *speechless*

Don’t you think some people need lessons in phone etiquette? C’mon. If you ring a wrong number. Just ask for the person you wish to speak to or ask if this is XXXX number and then apologize for ringing the wrong number. Is that so hard? Don’t pretend you didn’t hear me. I can hear you loud and clear.

The Other Woman…

Tuesday 11 September 2007 @ 10:34 am

My neighbour’s wife (she had better not be reading this) is slim. She drives to work in a luxury car. She wakes up at 5am to jog in the park before going to work. She has two young kids too (just like me) so I have no excuse. Can’t say, thats because she is single and have all the time in the world. Heheh.

That makes me wonder, what does my hubby think of his fat lazy wife who wakes up at 9am who stays at home and yells at the kids all day and continues yelling at them when he gets home. The same wife who complains incessantly about the kids amongst other things to him when he gets home instead of rubbing his feet and listening to his day as he would have imagined a SAHW would do. Hahah.

Tell me women, do you compare yourself with the other woman? Any other woman that is… the woman next door, your colleagues at work, your old girlfriend, the woman at the cashout counter at the supermarket….. C’mon be honest. I’m sure you do. Thats what makes you a woman. Kekekeh.

Next time you catch yourself comparing. Try to win in the competition ok? Say “I’m better because…..” instead of “She’s better because….” I think most of us are overly critical of ourselves and we deserve better. :)

Tai Thong Mooncake

Tuesday 11 September 2007 @ 9:22 am

Tai Thong Mooncake

I’ve finally taken my first bite of mooncake this year. Big sister gave us a box of Tai Thong mooncake. (Judy, is your mouth watering again?) The kids love it too. I cut it into little bite sized pieces so they can pick it up with their fingers and eat. The first time, I didn’t and my boy took a big bite and gagged afterwards. I had to remove the ooey gluey mooncake which got stuck in the upperside of his mouth. Silly mommy. I should have been more careful. Its a choking risk.

The other thing I want to mention is that much to my amusement, I found in my Google Webmaster Tools’ Query Stats that my Parenting blog keep on coming tops on Google for the following search terms:

tai thong mooncake

tai thong mooncakes

tai thong mooncake

tai thong mooncakes prices.

This is from data gathered and averaged over the last 7 days from all over the world. As for the Malaysian google search its even more amusing.

I’m tops on the search engine for terms like…. tai thong mooncake, tai thong moon cake, tai thong mooncakes, tai thong mooncake discount, tai tong mooncake, how to make a lantern for mooncake festival, mooncake festival song, mooncake tai thong price, tai thong mooncake prices and purple cane mooncake.

How did that happen? Well, I had written about mooncakes back in 2005 and 2006 and although I didn’t specifically mention Tai Thong, my commenters did. Hahaha. (Looks like lots of people want to eat Tai Thong Mooncake hence the search.) So I’m now specifically mentioning Tai Thong on my heading to test out my SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) skills in using keywords to get found on search engines.

After this post, I will search for Tai Thong mooncakes to see how this post competes with my Parenting blog on the search engine. Lol! Somehow the Parenting blog usually comes up higher, I have no idea why. Tai Thong had better pay me for the free advertisement. Maybe they ought to provide me with free boxes of mooncake so that I can eat until I say “No” to mooncakes. Burp!

Oh before I forget, to those search engine visitors who are asking about Tai Thong mooncake price, its average price is around RM9 per mooncake depending on what variety of mooncake you are looking for. The price varies. And to those who are looking for paper lantern crafts, check out my Parenting blog for my post on Paper Lantern Craft for Lantern Festival.
