Year end appointments

Gynae’s office has called up a few months ago to remind me to do my pap smear. Alamak! Still outstanding. One of the things I have to do before the year end.

Another dreaded appointment I have to meet before the year end is the, the, the, the, DENTIST! Ok. I’m chicken! I’m scared shitless. I hate the sound of the dentist drill. Help! But my daughter needs a check up and I’ve got to show her how brave I am by example. Hahaha.

So wish me luck as I make my appointment. Once I get those dreaded appointments out of the way, perhaps I will have more pleasant ones like appointment with the hairdresser, with Santa Clause etc. Now, if only I had more time. These things take up so much time. Sigh!

Nonono.. you are not chicken.. I HATE dentist as well.. I hate the drilling sound.. I hate the feeling when they clean my teeth..

I hate the drilling sound too and the pain and discomfort. Why must it be painful? Hehe.

Good idea to go with your daughter to the dentist so you can show her how brave Mum is. However much we dislike going, always better to catch any problems early. On my last dental visit 6 months back I ended up not only with scaling but a filling and a tooth extraction. Was fortunate though to find a nice lady dentist near my place. She made me promise to go back for yearly visits and floss regularly :)

Got the visit over and done with and I ended up with not only scaling but gum surgery as well!

Same same, anywhere but the DENTIST for me !!!

What about the gynae for a pap smear or the medical doctor for a full medical checkup?

psst! i love scaling. i love the idea that my teeth will be so naked after the scaling. :)

btw, do they do scaling for 3 years old?

I love the feeling AFTER the scaling but not the feeling DURING the scaling. Hehe.

As for the 3 year old, I’m not sure. I brought my 5 year old and all the dentist did was looked around inside. Maybe milk teeth doesn’t require scaling, I’m really not too sure about that. You’d have to check with the dentist. :)

Ugh, I dislike both also but prefer the gynae over the dentist! That’s coz my gynae’s a nice guy, while the dentist isn’t…

This reminds me that I should enjoy CNY kau-kau, brush and floss like mad before I see him in 2008!

Don’t forget to gargle with mouthwash too and don’t eat meaty stuff that will get stuck in the teeth just before your visit. Hahaha!
