Hi there, juz read about this.

u asked an opinion then I give one ya. No offence. Well, for me, there's nothing wrong with it. We need to understand the modelling or fashion world. or maybe because i'm naturally an open-minded person. some mentioned that the pics are suggestive and lustful but that's the thing. Thats mean they've succeeded in bringing out the character given. (of coz in their real life, they are different. Typical Malaysian)

Just my thought =)

You're entitled to your opinion Gabby. However, I still think that it is unnecessary to portray a lustful character when there are so many other personalities to portray successfully. I still think that the organisers are doing it for the selling factor because sex sells and so do young women in skimpy outfits. If you think that this way of thinking is typical Malaysian then I see nothing wrong as being typical Malaysian and believing in modesty.

Umm.....all in the name of fashion/money/talent? I want to say I do not want my daughter to do something like that. If I have my way I will forbid it totally. But sometimes when we reign it, they do the extreme opposite....very hard to control when they are that age!

Just have to educate them early on moral values and dignity and prayerfully they will think before (re)acting in the name of goodness-knows-what!

SIGH....

Yes, its true what you say. So I guess we should start working very hard right now to educate them from young and hope they don't mix with the wrong company later on in life.

Hi! I also gone thru their website before, and telling you the truth, it is rather unsightly! Nothing to be shout about. yes, I agreed with you that they are posing in a suggestive and lustful way. Not the type of dreamgirl I would love to give my vote to.

Yes, I don't think they should call it "dreamgirl"

What are they wearing?!! Is that in fashion now?!
They looked like they'd just escape from a very hungry tiger with all their clothes having been clawed!

Hysterical aside:
I think some people are just so desperate for fame and fortune they don't know what kind of harm they could get themselves into. This is one thing I'd strongly discourage my daughter to go into. Modeling... such stereotyping of the sexes.

On the other hand, Talent show and acting is rather different.

Is modelling really that bad?

I've seen worse, this in comparison is quite mild. To play devil's advocate I oso think they just do what they are being told to do lar, give them a break.....they are young, naive and many of them probably have aspirations to be "models". I blame the sponsors!!

Oh, its definitely the sponsors fault, exploiting young ladies who do not know better. Sigh.

I'm probably more old-fashioned than u because I think these girls look too slutty and dumb in such get-up. See, I don't even want to be polite like pablopabla.

He was being polite about my age, I think. Lol!

On the contrary, no saliva to wipe. I find them more of a turn-off than a turn on. What's so beautiful about these poses? I can't believe that the majority of Malaysians (if at all given a chance to vote just like in a General Elections) would find them as the ideal "Malaysian Dreamgirl". I truly wonder whether the contestants truly believe in their heart that by winning this contest, they feel that they have been rightly endorsed as the Dreamgirl.

I have never been a fan of beauty contests.

Sigh...I am old liao (is this what happens when a person has 2 kids running around the house?). LOL!

You sound as old as me, but you're younger. Hahaha.
