That’s just plain awful. They are even so well prepared, the kid knows when to bring out the iron rod *slaps head*.

I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry. I definitely would not open my door to any one, elderly or not.

As they say, trust no one. It’s too bad we have to resort to this level, but safety do come first.

Especially when you have little ones to take care of.

omg, so sad! didnt realize that this is happening but in a way, i’m not surprise. the thought that ppl will stoop so low just to get some extra cash sickens me. but it’s a fact lately that we all must accept and be aware of.

yes, like you, i will also not entertain these ppl anymore even if they’re a genuine case. what the world has become to…i’m worried for our kids!

Yes, I am always worried for the kids for their future but not only that, I also worry that we are easy and vulnerable targets, when I am with the kids that is.

Hmm… that;s the sad state of affairs society is in these days. Once 2 kids showed up at my office to peddle toys. While the 10 yr old showed us his merchandise, his little brother (probably about went round grabbing phones. When my colleague saw this, she alerted me. I stopped the kids, took back the phones and big brother cleverly slapped his kid brother as if to discipline him. The slap shocked us a little, and that was all the diversion they needed to run away. *sigh* Terrible.

Yeah terrible. *sigh*

it happened to me.
A few years back, I went for facial. I was lying down. My bag and clothes were beside me, side of bed. A new client came (mother and child). She got changed and then later decided not to do facial. Left the room. When I woke up n got changed, realized my hp n wallet gone. According to the beautician, it was new customer. They gave me her number. She didnt pick up. We sms. A week later, my ic was returned. Other stuff gone

Maybe I should warn my mom & MIL who are at home at all times .. they are pretty soft hearted and also lack exposure to whats happening outside in the real world.

I think those who are soft hearted are those that will fall easily as victims for these kinds of con job.
