am not sure, but my kdis previous velcro kai kai shoes are ok. just bought my son his white school shoes with velcro strap this afternoon, wonder if it will have the same prob as ur daughter’s. perhaps i need to get another pair spare..

Maybe our problem was overwashing and overscrubbing.

Craft shops at Jalan Silang should have. What brand of school shoes did you get? The one I got for my son, from BATA is good. No Vecro problem.

Its BATA too. Perhaps we wash it too often and the maid scrubs it too hard.

The liquid chalk definitely works!! I used to wash my school shoes like once a month! Every week I will put on the liquid chalk over the dirt and wah lah – as good as new

So, I’m not the only one who washes school shoes daily or on alternate days. I had friends who commented dat I was too fussy (to wash the school shoes every day). Sometimes if the shoes are not too dirty, I’ll use a wet cloth to wipe off the dirty parts.

Try the cobblers, I mean the ones in the shops. I’m sure they’ll have a way.

Tracy, if I don’t wash them, they look awfully black! However, if not for kakak, I’d probably try to hide the black parts by putting more shoe white over it, wipe it, etc and just wash it once a week.

Well…as Anna said it is easy to find …Just go to a near by tailor shop and ask…Using those shoe whiteners also helps(the white liquid kind you find when you want to buy school shoes)…

Yes, we use the shoe whitener but it does not help.

I believe you can find velcro strips for sale at shops that specialise in selling needlecraft and handicraft things like threads, wool, cross stitch materials. I think ACE Hardware also sells. Do you use the white liquid ‘chalk’ over the shoes? May prolong the cleanliness a few more days if you use that. I’m glad my kid’s shoes are black and not white so I don’t need to wash them as often as you!
