This is the first time I went on a staycation, a first time I went on a staycation with just me and my girl so it was double the fun and awesomeness. My girl had just completed her SPM and we were very much deprived of mummy and daughter bonding session because of all the long hours she had to put in to prepare for her exams.
This is the story of our staycation. We started at The Gardens to take photos of the beautiful Christmas decoration there. It was a white Christmas at The Gardens this year. There were horse drawn carriages, swans, reindeers and rabbits all in beautiful, calming and relaxing white. It was very beautiful and a lovely start to our little adventure.
Next we headed to the Abdullah Hukum LRT station. I had written about how to get to the Abdullah Hukum station from The Gardens mall in my previous post. The walkway is now open to public.

Hilton Kuala Lumpur is strategically located just oppostite KL Sentral which is only 2 stations from Abdullah Hukum. How awesome is that! So convenient. After alighting, we easily found our way from the station to the hotel through an underground link.
We checked in and requested for a room with a view and we had this fantastic view! It was fantastic at night and fantastic by day!

Our room was very nice. It was spacious, had a huge and comfortable king sized bed. The design was very modern and functional. There were a lot of movable doors with mirrors acting as separators from one part of the room to another. It felt like a mini studio apartment!
My girl wanted to go and have a swim immediately and that was exactly what we did! The pool had “caves”, slides and a warm water Jacuzzi, in other words, something for everyone.
After the swim we had a relaxing shower and bath with overhead rain shower and a bath with essential oil burner filling the room with wonderful and relaxing scents. Just perfect!
Refreshed, we headed over to NU Sentral which was just opposite and less than 5 minute walk away for dinner and to shop till we dropped. Being only two ladies on our own, I didn’t want to stay out too late. So we went back to the hotel to watch movies at around 10pm armed with some biscuits to enjoy a hot drink in the room. There were a lot of movie channels available. I find that many hotels these days tend to have only a few channels but we had a full range to choose from.
The next morning we had buffet breakfast at Vasco’s. There were a lot of selection and all the food was in abundance with many prepared right before your eyes. Even the drinks were real fresh juices. There were plenty of choices to pick from whether you prefer to have Malaysian or Western, a hearty breakfast or a dieter’s healthy one. The choice is yours.
Then it was back to the pool for another round of swimming and playing on the slides. Another round of showers before packing and checking out regretfully.
However, since Hilton Kuala Lumpur is so strategically located, our Staycation did not end there. We hopped onto the LRT and headed over to KLCC to view the tallest Christmas tree and walk about soaking in the holiday atmosphere.

Thank you Hilton Kuala Lumpur for an unforgettable holiday. It is now stamped into our collection of favourite beautiful memories.
Dear readers, if you wish to experience a staycation, you can too. The Hilton group of hotels is organizing a #TogetherWithHilton Christmas giveaway. You can go to any Hilton Facebook pages in Malaysia to join this giveaway. Winners will be announced on 20th December 2019. I have joined it too, hoping to win a staycation for a mother son bonding staycation this time.
