I’m really behind in tags till I can’t remember who tagged me on what! Sorry lah folks. Theres only that many hours in a day. Hehe. However, I will remember the awards though. So vain hor. So a big thank you to Montesssorimum who gave me the following awards.
1. The smile award because she says I make her smile.

Well, you make me smile too! And so do you
- Adrian who writes in such a candid, frank and unreserved manner and you….
- Sasha whom I think is very farnee and a happy go lucky type and….
- Fatty Poh who makes me smile whether she blogs or or not
There are many more which make me smile too but I think they’ve got the smile award from others before me.
2. The Creative Blogger Award because she says I write inspiring posts.

Ahem! Thank you. Thank you. I only wish I could inspire myself when I need instant inspiration but blogging allows me to try to do that ie. inspire and motivate myself by talking to myself. Instead of talking to my head, I talk on my blog. Lol!
As for creativeness, I do enjoy writing poems so I’ll accept in that area. However, I often get comments about how creative I am in doing my children’s crafts. Well, I’ve said time and again that most of the ideas can easily be sourced from books and the internet and they are not all my own. I just improvise on them a little sometimes, that is all.
For real creativeness as a blogger, I think the award should go to
- eastcoastlife (her photo blogs crack me up)
- Zewt (whose posts are always thought provoking) and
- 5Xmom (who is currently on the top 3 spot for the most obnoxious blogger BCA Award). BCA=Blogger’s Choice Awards.
- My Longkang (I found him by chance while searching for something on google but eversince then I’ve been hooked on his creative posts)
I got this fun meme from 5Xmom the fun mom. In this meme, you are supposed to go back to your very first blog post, then copy and paste it for your new readers who do not know you from the beggining, to read. Its very timely for me to reflect back especially after my Blogging Life Cycle post.
So here it is…… TADAAA! My very first blog post published on Friday, September 12, 2004 at exactly 11.47 am on my Parenting Blog.
New to this
Just started this blog so that I can put in my links for easier access by me or anyone with similar interests. I shall also publish and keep poems, sayings and other stuff that I’d like to keep but have no filing space for at home. So why not file it on the www. Great idea.
This is my personal blog but hopefully like minded sahm can share their links of interesting websites on parenting, household organisation, babies and toddler links etc for my ds 5 months and dd 2 1/2 years.
Thats all for now. Will check in again later to post those links.
Alamak! So boring one. Hahaha. So have I accomplished what I set out to do? Yes, I think so. I still write poems and publish quotes. I still file my favourite links there and in addition I’ve started sharing craft ideas and I’ve gotten to know many like minded parents and non-parents too in the process. Yeah! What a journey. I love it!
The interesting thing to note for me is that when I first started my boy was 5 months old and my girl 2 1/2 years. Now they’re 3 1/2 years and 5 1/2 years. Wow! How quickly the time has flown!
Now I would like to visit the first blog post of those bloggers whom I’ve known for some time but never got round to reading their first blog post. Now this will be very interesting. Will you do it? Anyone else not in this list who feels like sharing just let me know and I will link you.
Do you think you’ve changed since your first blog post? Do you think I’ve changed?
Thank you Shopping Mum for sending the genie my way. The genies look rather cute. Now if only they were real, I’d wish to be happy and healthy. Looking at the wish list, I can see that my wish is just about the same as everyone else’s. We all just want to feel love, joy and happiness and most importantly we would like to be in good health too. Thats the key to happiness isn’t it?
Now, I’m suppose to send the genie along to other bloggers too…

I’m feeling a little tired today, too tired to tag anyone. So anyone reading this who would like to have this genie visit your blog, just drop me a line in the comment box and I will grant your wish. Muahahahaha. Meaning I will link you lah!
Alakazam! The genie is now flying over to….
I am loved by Sasha. Thats who. Hahaha.
She says… “Still remember you thought me how to make chic broth! Thank you!”
Hahaha. I had totally forgotten about that when we first “met” on the blog she had written to me asking me how to make chicken broth for her beloved Jayden and she remembered and gave me this for it. Thank you Sasha. Mmmm Muaks! (Geli anot? Haha.)

I’m supposed to spread the luv around so here goes this tag to:
Lian, Montessori Mum, Fatty Poh, Lilian, Jazzmint, Clair, Mamabok, Vien
And then Montesorri Mum gave me a nice surprise.
She said “You have inspired me a lot through your blog posts.”
Ahem. Really? I have learned a lot from you too, Montessori Mum. Thank you for this very pretty award.

Now what shall I do next. Should I hang the awards or badges on my blog? Its getting cluttered. Should I give pass this nice surprise to another blogger and make their day?
According to the originator of the Nice Matters award it is intended for “those that are just nice people, good blog friends, and those that inspire good feelings and inspiration! Those that care about others, that are there to lend support, or those that are just a positive influence in our blogging world!” For those receiving the award, you may like to pass on the award to 7 whom you think deserves it.
Here’s my 7:
Jesslyn, Mommy to Chumsy, Dolphine, Allyfeel, Mommy of two angels, Sue, Channelwong
I was tagged by Jacelyn to write 8 random facts about my mum but I’ve changed it a little because my mum is no longer here, not for the past 31 years now but I still miss her. So I’ll do this tag with a twist. Here are some posts I’ve done about my mum or inspired by her. You’ll find much more than 8 random facts about her there.
4. Creating happy memories with the children
Anyone who feels like doing this tag please go ahead. How about you…
1. Fatty Poh
2. Sasha
3. Sweetisu
4. Blur Mommy
I’ve just been tagged by Shooi. That reminds me I have a backlog of tags to do and have almost forgotten them as I have been writing lots of my own posts lately, no time for tags and memes. Anyway this one is easy peasy so I’ll let this skip the queue and do this first.
It’s a very simple tag. When this is passed on to you, copy the whole thing, skim the list and put a * star beside those that you like. (Check out especially the * starred ones.) Write your own blogging tip for other bloggers. Try to make your tip general. Tag as many people as you want.

Now lets here it from:
Sesame, Doris, Kitty Cat, Shopping Mum and WMD..

Thank you BKWorm for giving me this Power of Schmooze award.
The Power of what? Say again? Just what exactly is Schmooze??!
My search for “schmooze” on google yielded rather different results. ”Schmooze” is…
- the number one party spot in Toronto
- is a small friendly college established in 1994
- the fourth edition of the American Heritage Dictionary
- a bar in Toronto
- a NY based rock band
Hahaha. But for this award it means “a blogger skilled in the art of small talk”
I also found the link to the origin of the award from my google search. It came from Mike at Gummy the Lovesick Alien. He said..
“Schmoozing as defined by Dictonary.com is the ability “to converse casually, especially in order to gain an advantage or make a social connection.” When it comes to blogging, schmoozing is your ticket to making new friends, getting yourself noticed and building a reputation. Some bloggers are gifted with the ability to effectively schmooze and others not so much.”
Now that I know the meaning, I feel really honoured and would like to pass on the honour to other bloggers gifted with the Power of Schmooze. They are…
1. 5XMom - She can really Schmooze on any of her 13 (?) blogs. (Sorry I lost count on the number of blogs she maintains.)
2. Ah Pek - now that old feller can reaaaaly Schmooze too and he composes poems like writing ABC.
3. Pablo Pabla can Schmooze yes he can. Afterall he is a lawyer. Lol!
4. Yenjai can Schmmoze. He provides After-Meal Gossip on his blog.
5. Jason yes, this young man can schmooze too especially about food.
Not sure why I gave this award to mostly men, young and old. Must be the muscles and the blue badge. Lol! I hope you all like it. You deserve the honour.

3. Miche
4. Blur Mommy
5. Julian
Anyone else who wants to contribute RM127 to charity just by writing this blog post, feel free to do this tag.
I was tagged by Montessorimum for this one.
Hmm.. lets see.. If I have $1 million, the very first thing that comes to my mind is
- I would try to secure my kids’ financial future. To to do these days, don’t be surprised if $1 million isn’t really enough anymore if you’re talking about making sure they also own property etc when they are adults. So it’ll have to mean providing them with the education to secure their own financial future. Education is so costly these days. So yes, if I had $1 million, I would breathe a sigh of relief for that would mean that I would then be able to afford or pay for their education unlike now, have to crack head and work hard.
- In order to make sure that my $1 million works hard, I will need to invest it smartly to make it grow!
- Then, I would go SHOPPING! YEEHAW! *jumps up in the air and claps heels together*
Thats it. I’m boring, greedy and selfish. No donations and stuff like that. Lol! What about you?
Narrowband - I want to find out what a young man will do with his $1 million
BKWorm - Will you buy a bookstore? Hehe.
Sweetisu - who is a frugal person like me
Jazzmint - Will it stop you from grabbing those PPP opps from me? Hahaha.
Mott - Will it cure your Superhomes lust? Lol!

I was happy to receive this award from Doris Chua who maintains the Home Office Women Blog amongst others. I love this award! Phhwweet! Phhwweet! Why? Because someone called me a girl at age 41. And not only a girl but a Rockin’ girl. Hahaha. *wipes off tears of laughter joy* Thanks Doris. You made my day.
I’m supposed to pass on this award to five other deserving rockin’ girl bloggers. Now thats tough because all those that have been awarded before this truly rock. But come to think of it maybe its not that tough because I know many other girl bloggers who rock so the tough part is narrowing down the choice to 5.
Ok. Now hold on tight and hang on to your seats for the suspense. The award now goes on to….. *chang chang chang* *drumroll* *TADAA*!
Errr… can I award more than 5? I certainly have more than 5 more in mind. Lol!
