Firehorse reminded me that I should not only aim to lose weight but I should do some strength training to avoid having lose flabs and a haggard look….. which brings me to the subject of exercise.
Everyone knows that exercise is good for you and the normal standard you should try to achieve is 3 times a week for at least 20 minutes each.
My exercise regime has been an on-off kind of thing. When I was younger (meaning single and have lots more time then now), I attended some aerobics classes after work. That was fun but it was hard keeping up with some of the ladies! Sometimes I went jogging in the park after work with colleagues. I don’t play a lot of games.รย After the children came and it was harder to leave the house to go to the gym,รย I did some biking …. in front of the tv where I placed my exercise bike.
In recent years, I have been rather sedentary. However due to the state of my health now I am exercising a bit more diligently. These days, I exercise about 3-4 times a week for 20-30 minutes each time. I usually do aerobics type of exercise followed by 10 minutes of stretching. I do this using exercise video tapes or dvds. Sometimes when I’m bored, I do some salsasize (salsa dancing) instead to make it more fun and less routine. I do them at home.
It is not easy to find the time to exercise though and sometimes I feel pressured to make time for it. Can you imagine that? Exercise is supposed to be relaxing, release endorphines etc but I feel pressured!
What about the rest of you? How do you exercise and how often do you do it?
i try to do cardio exercises three times a week about thirty minutes each time but I am getting lazy. It’s so hard to keep to the regime. sigh!
Yes, its really hard isn’t it to keep at it but we shall perservere.
i’ve been ‘nagging’ my wife to do more light exercising since she’s pregnant, ‘cos ppl say ‘it helps when she’s in labour’ wor.. ;p
but, as for me, hehe, exercise is part of the history already… hehehe ;p

You can take walks with her loh. That will be good exercise but remind her to be careful as she will be more clumsy as her tummy grows bigger. ๐
wow..good for you ๐ 3 to 4 times a week is enough eh? salsa is good (read about it from the paid post i did..hahahahaha) me, the only exercise is carrying The Queen onto the highchair and running after her ;D So, when can we see a pic of you doing salsa?

i exercise a few times a week to release stress. i oso go to the sauna n steam room. but it helps some what to keep me healthy ๐
